"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about." Luke 2:14-15
Today in the year 2017, angels will not appear in front of us to tell us what to do after hearing the 'good news', that good news is already written in the Bible. Today, hearing that good news prompt us to act differently, and these differences will make an impact on how we view the birth of our Savior.
Long ago the shepherds agreed, "Let's go to Bethlehem." Today, people agree on different things, "Let's go shopping, let's have a reunion, let's have a vacation, FAR AWAY FROM THE CHURCH TO PAY HOMAGE TO THE KING, we keep on forgetting the essence of His existence.
Imagine the Wise Men who travelled day and night in spite of dangers along the road managed to bring gold, myrrh and incense to pay respect, how much more can we offer, in this age of sending "the good news" in a click?
CHRISTmas is not about Santa Claus or Rudolph or Frosty, these logos have no realities. These images are just distortions made by materialism, product endorsements and profits to stray-away from the very reason why we celebrate Christmas.
MERRY CHRISTmas!
PEACE, LOVE, JOY and FORGIVENESS TO ALL.
JESUS CHRIST IS BORN!
OUR SAVIOR, OUR LORD.
